From cratering NAFTA to touching off a trade war with China, to a sweeping overhaul of the U.S. Tax system, the Trump presidency has brought a rapid unravelling of the status quo.  A new Fed Chair is in the hot seat and rising rates are likely on his agenda, even as core inflation dips and GDP accelerates, ever how modest it all may be. Tight unemployment, modest wage increases, improving manufacturing indices and stabilized housing markets raises the question of whether 2018 will continue the second longest economic expansion cycle in U.S. history.
Join Mark Vitner, senior nationalist economist for Wells Fargo, and a panel of other trade and political experts that NAIOP has assembled to delve into what to expect in 2018.
